PostHeaderIcon Lazy

I think I figured out one of the key reasons for the domination that Windoze has over the rest of the market: laziness.

That's right, laziness.

PostHeaderIcon A successful dual boot!

If you are following along with the rest of the site, you know that mike_k is getting ready to attempt to automate his house with Debian. You will also know that chris_f is getting ready to guide us through making our own distribution of Linux, using Arch. I've been futzing around with various distros, ultimately learning a ton about how to put this all together and use it, though nothing is specialized yet to just one, meaning I still have a long way to go. However, I want to play along with mike_k and chris_f, so I need to have both Debian and Arch installed so I can do whatever. I also want to start using Linux full time for school, unlike someone (*AHEM* chris_f *COUGH*) who shall remain nameless. Debian comes with a nice openoffice version, and I know how to put the new version of Firefox on my system regardless of what the distro nazis have decided should be used, so I know I can do this, if I can only get a dual boot running. Time to play!

PostHeaderIcon Continued successes with Slack

I've been busy over the last several days, going from frustrated enough to want to throw my new linux install out my second story office window to being smugly selfsatisfied with myself to being frustrated enough to want to just throw my hands in the air and scream.

Wanna hear it?

Ok, here we go...

PostHeaderIcon An admission...

I have to admit it, now - I have no choice.

I truly don't know what I am doing when it comes to partitioning.
